ELSP 697- Directed Study- Academic Research Writing course. May 20th to June 26th

Emory Postdoctoral Fellows and Employees are invited to attend the ELSP 697- Directed Study- Academic Research Writing course this May 20th to June 26th

This course is designed to assist researchers in making progress on writing a research article. Once enrolled, you will participate in weekly one-hour class meetings as well as have access to individual writing consultations. Those who are currently working on a manuscript or in the beginning stages are the best fit for this course. Together we will explore the role of rhetorical organization, development of identifying a research gap, construction of logical arguments, discussion of data – all through your field’s writing.

What former postdocs and employees have said about this course:

“The most helpful thing that I got from this course was learning about the structure of a research article. Before I took this course, my brain was blank facing an equally blank word file in front of me. I know the structure now, and I can easily fill in the blanks with what I want to say”

“The detailed feedback and discussion on my writing was very useful!”
